PURE DOG LISTENING

When you observe dogs together you will notice that they have their own language and way of communicating with each other which is immediate, and which crosses all breeds, size and age of the dogs - no matter how domesticated.

Jan Fennell Fennell studied for many years, the behavior of wolves in the wild, and then applied her observations of their canine language to her own pack of dogs. She found that through signals and gestures and understanding the structure of the pack hierarchy, she was able to communicate and help create order and cooperation within her own family of dogs. A total revelation!

Understanding the wolf in your dog. You can take the dog away from the wolf but you can't take the wolf out of the dog! All dogs no matter what breed, what size or age - are pack animals. This is why they fit in so well with the human family structure. The way they think and communicate is particular to all canines. In order to communicate effectively with your dog(s) it is fundamentally important to understand what messages and signals to give your dog(s) that make sense to them.

The method. Instead of having the emphasis on obedience training and overpowering the dog into submission, this method uses a simple, non-confrontational, gadget-free technique which positively addresses all the different behaviour problems that dogs can exhibit, and will reveal the cause of those problems. We will teach you what you need to do to demonstrate to your dog(s) that you are the leader, the decision maker, and that you will take care of their survival. You can learn to do this in a language they understand. This is natural canine communication - and it is universal.

Dog Listening is remarkably effective with puppies, rescue dogs, old dogs – all problems, and helps to bring peace back into the home, allowing your dog(s) to feel safe and secure in their place in the family pack.
